Well over a year ago, I wrote a random blog post about my shoes.  There was a scattering of pictures and some descriptions of the shoes with my experience walking in them.

Can you believe that this random post is my most visited one?

Seriously! 3,044 views and more everyday!

So what could I do but snap a few pictures of the shoes that have been added to my collection?!

I love shoes, but it seems I didn’t buy all that many.  Most of these were bought within the last six months.  Of course I love them all, but I have my favorites.  What girl doesn’t?

Lovely Hosiery February 28, 2008

I was down at a local sex shop adult product store this evening and I was most delighted to see they had brought in plus sized hosiery!  This was a thrill because not even my local lingerie shop has this variety and quantatity, and believe me I have talked to the shop owner and tried to convince them they need to order more products.  Unfortunately, seems the plus sizes don’t move fast enough for them.  I think it’s more them not doing their jobs and allowing women to buy the wrong sized hosiery.  There are far too many women squeezing themselves into things two sizes (or more) too small.  And I swear the sales associates are no help at all!  They don’t even help you find your right section.  I know I’m fat!  I really won’t be offended if I’m steered to the plus sizes.  Saves me time and I don’t get frustrated.  I therefore spend more money on the pretty things I do have the time to see.

Oh no… I went off on a rant.  I didn’t mean to!  But, let me get back on track to show off the two sets of stockings I bought:

 White thigh-hi stockings with red scattered hearts and a red bow on front; toes are opaque.  I think they are cute and fun, but they really do need a garter belt because they don’t stay up on their own. 

 Black fishnet thigh hi with ribbon and bow details; lace stay up tops and seam in the back.  I really loved the feel of these and would probably wear a garterbelt, just in case.

New shoes February 17, 2008

 These are the cute new wedges I got yesterday.  They are surprisingly very comfortable, I was worried the front strap was going to give me some trouble.  I just have to remember to walk centered on the balls of my feet or else I near twist my ankle.  Something that nearly happened at first use in my grandmother’s kitchen while I was drinking water.  On the outside of the heel, there’s a very pretty butterfly etched in.  Oh, and I believe the brand is called Toscana.  Not the pricey stuff, that’s for sure.  They were on sale for like 15 bucks.  But I’ll be rocking them anyway.

The color of my nailpolish is Shining Rose from Avon’s Nailwear collection, just in case anyone was wondering.

After slaving away in that kitchen for the better part of the afternoon, and then slapping up pictures and writing for the rest of it… I decided I wanted to do something different and frivolous.  A conversation with a friend had me pondering about my shoes.  I know I have quite a few heels, some cute flats and a veritable rainbow of $3 flipflops from Old Navy.  So I did what any sane girl would do, I hunted down the right shoe for every pair I have and proceeded to photograph them.  That is… I took pictures of the ones I didn’t already have close up shots to and I wasn’t about to take pictures of my flipflops.  If you care to know what colors I have… not even I can tell you.  I change them out, wear them down and toss them when I feel inclined.  That’s the beauty of $3 footwear.  You don’t have to worry about them and you can collect them in as many colors as your girlish heart can love.

And so I begin…

   We begin with my favorite shoe; blue tweed round toe pumps.  The heels are slightly over 3 inches high.

I still haven’t learned to walk in these.  They are kind of painful.

But, darn, aren’t they pretty?

 These would probably be the ones I wear the most but they aren’t a standing shoe; black and white patent mary jane pumps with a 3 inch heel.

 I’d REALLY wanted to get these in turquoise, but I chickened out and got them in black.  I’m still wishing I had gotten the other pair; sparkly black slingbacks with fabric crochet flower and 2 inch heel.

 I bought these thinking they were black, but turns out they are navy.  I can’t remember when was the last time I wore them; navy strappy with 3 in. heel.

 I’ve worn these twice.  Originally bought for my 9th grade prom.  I refuse to toss them though I will likely never wear them again; 3 1/2 in. heel.

The ribbon was pink but I couldn’t find it.

And I lied, the heels are really about 5 inches, not 7.

 I’m still learning how to walk in these.  Notice these are my sole pair of pointy shoes.  They really hurt, I should have bought them a size larger but I got them online, and I wasn’t able to finally pick them up and try them on for a month after they were delivered.  And the ankle straps actually do help; 5 inch heel.

If you have noticed, I really do not like super high heels.  I keep them around 3 inches or less and I have a penchant for round toes and pumps.  Now we look at my recently acquired flats:

 These actually have the barest fraction of a kitten heel and they are my favorites; black patent leather with matte ribbon.

With Valentine’s day in mid February, now is the perfect time for all those lovely ladies with all those lucky lovers to begin their hunt for the right something-something to get y’all in the mood.  As a sort of side business, I work on image consultation and personal shopping.  This means I evaluate people’s tastes and Wardrobes, and then proceed to make recommendations.  Often people come to me when they have the desire to acquire a certain item and they aren’t sure where to look.  They can feel overwhelmed by the sheer amount of choices/ the apparent lack of choices/ the completely clueless notion of what will look good on them/ etc and I like to make it easier for them.  Afterall, I enjoy to shop and have a very good eye for style.  It’s absolutely a pleasure to be of any help, it really is. 

So as it stands, a few of my favorite people have asked me for their help in selecting something just right for Valentine’s Day.  It’s been an absolute delight seeing all the visions in red, the froths of lace and the shimmers of rhinestone hearts.  I understand that this is not for everyone.  In fact I know that it’s not.  I would even say that I’m not the type of girl who even wear lingerie to begin with.  But, seeing some of those lovely little creations, I somewhat wished I did have someone special to share them with.  Yet, every woman should stand proud and revel in her delight to wear the sort of underpinnings that she so wishes!  At the end of the day, I think I helped some people out and they will surely be the sex kittens they need to be because I helped them find just the right thing for them. 

Returning to my normality and everyday life, I went bra shopping!  Sure they aren’t the transparent lace pinnings that lingerie models wear (of course not!  I have an actual body with real curves!) but I think they are just adorable!  That and I think I’ve got cleavage for days.  So… right… There are fruit of the loom push up bras and I think they are just the best things ever.  I love all the colors and I even got some bikini undies to somewhat match them (and no, those are not shown nor will I show them :p).  Seems these colors are very in!

New Socks! January 23, 2008

I L-O-V-E the site sock dreams.  Since the puptart introduced me to the site I visit on a regular basis to drool and envy.  Last week I was in the need of a pick me up and had $25 to spare.  With that on card, I went off to the site and rampaged around to get something that was precisely that amount. (the wonderful thing about the site is that for regular usps shipping, it’s free!  So, definitely more bang for my buck!)  After some fuzzy math skills, I decided on the perfect four.  I ordered these in the wee hours of Thursday-Friday morning.  So imagine my delight to have Mr. Postman drop buy with my little bundle!  Not wasting any time, I tore the plastic open and proceeded to tug on a sock at a time.  I needed to try on all four just to see their look, feel and fit.  Why? Because each pair of socks is a glove of love for your feetses!  Only the printed trouser sock had I already owned in a different pattern.  So the others I just had to be sure that they fit.  Which they did!  So here, lemme show them off!
